Just imagine every day and night hearing the constant ringing in your ears that never goes away. According to the American Tinnitus Association fifty million Americans cannot stop ringing ear sounds every day. Most people describe tinnitus as a ringing in the ears, but it can also be roaring, whistling, and buzzing or clicking sound. The non stop ringing ear sound can be intermittent or constant and it can be soft or loud.

There are many causes of tinnitus and the inability to stop ringing ear sounds. The most common cause is hearing loss. A build of wax in the ear canal can also cause tinnitus, as also some medications, and sinus infections. Ringing in the ears can happen immediately after attending a 4th of July fireworks show and the sounds do not stop ringing ear. You must protect your ears anytime your ears are exposed to loud sounds.

It’s interesting that we would love to stop ringing ear symptoms right away, but scientist are finding that for some patients tinnitus originates in the brain not the ear. Tinnitus can truly have toll on your daily life. The non stop ringing ear noise can cause depression, stress, and anxiety. According to the ATA some patients have reported suicidal tendencies in order to escape this never ending sound in their ear.
