Tinnitus is often associated with hearing loss. Is an unwanted noise in the head, which his created by the brain not the ears. There are different causes of not being able to hear well and tinnitus hearing loss is not always caused by tinnitus. Just because you have tinnitus doesn’t mean that you have lost the ability to hear.  People with hearing loss can have tinnitus. 

One way to truly know if you have ringing in your ears any tinnitus hearing lost is to go someplace quiet. Stay very still and listen carefully. Do you hear that ringing or buzzing sound in you ears?  If you do, you have ringing ears and tinnitus hearing loss. The ringing in your ears is so loud that you cannot hear anything. Ringing of the ears and tinnitus hearing loss is common for military men especially helicopter crewmembers. The constant prolonged exposure to excessively loud noises, such as the turbine engines, machine gun, and the rapid ascending and descending during combat.
