What does tinnitus have to do with menopause? Well we must first explore what are menopause and tinnitus common symptoms in order to see the relationship. Menopause is the off switch for the female reproductive system. Meaning that no longer will the women feel or have the natural cessation of menstrual cycles. This can be a very difficult time for many women, especially with the typical symptoms of menopause, such as mood swings, fatigue, hot flashes, insomnia, and weight gain. The other cause of an increase in mood swing is caused by the tinnitus. Can you imagine already dealing with all of the symptoms that comes with menopause and tinnitus combined. This would be a total nightmare. Now that we have an understanding of menopause, how is it related to tinnitus? Menopause and tinnitus is actually quite common. Although there are tons of reasons for what can cause the tinnitus, researchers have found that there’s a relationship between hormonal cycles and tinnitus. Ringing ears and menopause and tinnitus are part of those conditions that tend to manifest in some woman during this period. Although you might notice menopause and tinnitus together, this condition has also been known to affect during women taking birth control, puberty, and menstrual cycles. All of these situations take place during hormonal change just like menopause and tinnitus.
