What does tinnitus have to do with menopause? Well we must first explore what are menopause and tinnitus common symptoms in order to see the relationship. Menopause is the off switch for the female reproductive system. Meaning that no longer will the women feel or have the natural cessation of menstrual cycles. This can be a very difficult time for many women, especially with the typical symptoms of menopause, such as mood swings, fatigue, hot flashes, insomnia, and weight gain. Although you might notice menopause and tinnitus together, this condition has also been known to affect during women taking birth control, puberty, and menstrual cycles. All of these situations take place during hormonal change just like menopause and tinnitus.   It’s not fully understood why this occurs, but we do know that there’s definitely a connection between hearing lost and menopause and tinnitus during hormonal changes or cycles.
